INTEGRATION, CONTROL, STABILITY

Technological innovation through the Industry 4.0 approach is the last step Sabaplast chronologically took in pursuing every purpose with the highest competitiveness.

The stability of production processes, the maximization of system and products quality, productivity and organizational flexibility – these are the guidelines adopted to achieve the goal of maximum efficiency from our company system.

Sabaplast 4.0

Sabaplast has its own modernly equipped metrology laboratory to support R&D activities and for process validation and finished product testing.

The Quality Service plans and carries out checks during all production phases, ensuring the quality standards required by the customer.

We support our products with statistical analysis control systems such as CP/CPk, FMEA, documented with PPAP and other reporting systems.

CNC dimensional control

With the Vision LVC 400 machine, we are able to perform both 3-axis dimensional checks and profile projection and inspection, with which we eliminate any operator errors during dimensional inspection. We guarantee fast, simple and objective measurement and dimensional control of components.

3D dimensional inspection manual probing

The purpose of the dimensional inspection service is to carry out an accurate inspection of the components by means of 3D scanning and comparison with the original CAD design, to ensure better production and higher quality standards.

Rugosimeter

Surface roughness is one of the main values for defining product quality. Through the use of this instrument, we guarantee the absence of surface irregularities that could compromise the functionality of the component.

Colour sensors

Colour sensors are measuring instruments used to recognise the colours of objects or surfaces, so as to standardise control while guaranteeing maximum objective quality, avoiding the possibility of subjective influences due to the visual perception of the human observer, which depends on various uncontrollable factors.

Needle flame test (NFT)

This test is mainly used to analyse all those plastic components (lighting equipment, low-voltage appliances, electrical appliances, power tools, electronic instruments) that are subject to fire, electrical or other risks.

By simulating the effect of small flames on a test sample for a set time, the test assesses the flammability class of the plastic material used in the manufacture of the component.

Breaking strength test

The refractive resistance of a material refers to its ability to resist the growth or spread of a pre-existing crack or flaw. Our experts provide valuable information on material performance, helping you make critical decisions on the safety, suitability and longevity of plastic materials.

Residual moisture test

Controlling the moisture content in plastic resins is decisive for manufacturing high-quality products, to ensure non-stop mixing and moulding operations, uniform surfaces and ideal mechanical properties of thermoplastic components.

Determination of the Melt Flow Index (MFI)

The measurement of the Melt Flow Index (MFI) is an indispensable test in Research (R&D) and Quality Control (QC) for the acceptance of polymer granules, both at the inlet and outlet.

Repeated tests also allow relevant information to be obtained on the fluid-dynamic behaviour of materials under the test conditions; for example, the thermal stability of a polymer, a fundamental value in certain processing steps (moulding, extrusion, etc.) and the fine-tuning of optimal process conditions.
